What do we truly think ?
Open Source software are the best to use for the following reasons:
- Road tested reputation: Google, Amazon, Facebook...the most notable and successful web players ride on open source architecture.
- You remain the 100% owner of your application. Your access to the source code makes you boss of your investment
- You are not dependent on a sevice provider
- You can easily change your integrator
- No risk of product termination
- A company closing does not lead to an orphaned software system
- Secure and dependable solutions
- Have you ever heard of a Linux system being hacked ?
- Respect for standards and optimal interoperability
- Open source solutions are compatible with all proprietary protocols but the inverse is not true
- Unlimited modifications are possible
- better not to buy a car with a welded-down hood...
- No license fee
- Faster ROI
